The Monstruous Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Heads to Production
Everybody loves it when an awesome concept car goes into production almost unaltered! This is exactly the case with the much anticipated Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, which will reportedly soon make it to the production lines.
Apparently, the Italian automaker decided that the gorgeous supercar was not too much for our times, and didn’t feel the need to tame its wild character before releasing it onto the market. Amen to that! However, for safety and other well justified reasons, a few changes did have to happen. But don’t worry, they don’t cut down on the awesomeness factor at all.
Limited to only 20 units, all of which have already found owners, the production Sesto Elemento is stiffer and structurally safer. This is only natural, since it will be built exclusively for track use. Powering the car will be the same 5.2-liter V10 engine that gives life to the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, and which is capable of 562 hp and 540 Nm of torque.
When this power is sent to the wheels via the car’s 6-speed automated manual transmission, the 0-62 mph sprint is completed in only 2.5 seconds. Weighing only 2,202 lbs, the hypercar can effortlessly reach a top speed of 200 mph. The interior is highly customizable, again matching the concept. Each of these outstanding wheeled monsters will be priced at approximately €2 million ($2.6 million).
