The Brand New 2013 BMW Z4 Unveiled
One of the many good things that are scheduled to happen in 2013 is this superb BMW Z4, which is expected to hit the market this spring. A few visual changes are visible in the redesigned LED lights and the side indicators, while the 17-inch and 18-inch wheels will receive several new designs.
The new BMW will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine and it will feature a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The 8-speed automatic gearbox will also be available, but it can only be found on the list of options. This motorization means 154 hp, 177 lb-ft of torque, a maximum sped of 137 mph, and a 0-62 mph time of 7.9 seconds (manual), or 8.1 seconds (automatic). Fuel consumption is quite good as well: 34.6 mpg US mixed.
The automaker has also announced an entry-level version of the 2013 Z4, but unfortunately the US will not get it. What we will see, however, are the following motorizations: a 240-hp 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine in the sDrive28i, a 300-hp 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine in the sDrive35i, and a 335-hp 6-cylinder engine in the sDrive36is.
