Shard, The Tallest Building In The EU, Opened

UK can be proud with its new building,not a usual building but tallest building in the EU.With a height of 310 meters and 72 floors, Shard will house office space on floors 4-28, a luxury hotel in the next 18 and 10 duplex apartments at top.It has 44 elevators, 11,000 glass panels and a swimming pool floor 52.Its construction cost 560 million euros.
But not everything is surrounded by happiness.The building is criticized and because of alleged exclusivity of luxury inside and the high prices that are circulated in the market.Project critics consider Shard is not compatible urban immediate surroundings or with profile of London.Duplex apartments are estimated at 37-62 million each, and the only concession for the general public observation gallery on four floors, open to visitors willing to pay 31 euro ticket.
