Rare Japanese Stilled Whiskey Set For Auction
With a resurgence of craft beers in the United States and a love for whiskey percolating amongst enthusiasts the world over, Japanese Whiskey blends have had a period of growth recently. For the most part only the lucky few can afford such treasures. Revered Hong Kong auction house Bonhams rides this wave by assembling a comprehensive assortment of rare Japanese whiskey for sale. The collection includes about 250 bottles from the likes of Ichiro’s Malt and Karuizawa Geisha. Karuizawa Geisha is a now-defunct distillery from the ’70s and Ichiro’s malt is a special blend by Ichiro Akuto. There will also be 50-year-old picks from Yamazaki. So if your a whiskey enthusiast and are able to dish out up to $32,000.00, the bidding will begin in February.
