The Tayrona National Natural Park can be found in Magdalena State, Colombia and encompasses 58 square miles of natural beauty. Established in 1969, this corner of paradise is not only one of the most picturesque in the country but also one of the liveliest, since it is the home of over 300 species of birds and 100 species of mammals. Furthermore, the Tayrona National Natural Park is teeming with 1000 species of marine life and about 31 reptile species, while the flora selection involves 350 algae species and 770 plant species. As far as climate is concerned, the national park boasts temperatures ranging between 77 degrees F and 89.6 degrees F. If you don’t like rain, then you might not want to visit between the months of May and June or between September and November, since that’s when the park is usually soaking wet. If you are visiting from aboard, you will be required to pay an entry fee of approximately $11, which is truly cheap considering the generous array of attractions and the superb natural beauty contained within this Colombian treasure.
