Outstanding Azzam Superyacht Launched in Germany
This breathtakingly beautiful and imposing yacht is called Azzam, and it is currently the largest vessel of its kind, measuring 590 feet. It boasts a stunning, sleek, contemporary layout courtesy of Nauta Yachts, and it was constructed by Lürssen Yachts following the personal directives of engineer Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi.
The superyacht is able to deliver incredible performance and cruise effortlessly through warm and shallow waters, while its guests are able to enjoy sublime accommodation options and high-end amenities.
The Azzam is worth $610 million, flaunts a top speed of over 30 knots and it was built in record time (in about three years according to Peter Lürssen). Its interiors are lavishly appointed, including a 95-foot (29 meter) long saloon. The decorations were made by renowned French designer Christophe Leoni, and he was quite confident that his work would be appreciated by the owner.
The incredible speed is ensured by two diesel engines capable of producing 94,000 horsepower each and two gas turbines. The owner’s identity is shrouded in mystery, but some say that he might be a member of the Saudi royal family.
