One-Off Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Edition
This baby is the first full-size production Hot Wheels car ever offered for sale, and the manufacturer behind this project is Chevrolet. The name of the car is Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Edition, and interested customers can expect to see it in dealerships sometime during the first quarter of 2013. Flaunting a metallic blue exterior (Kinetic Blue), this superb car is currently a one-off creation.
Its hot look is completed by 21-inch black wheels with red outline, two-tone hood graphic , Hot Wheels grille, fender flame graphics, “blackout” graphics on the rear taillight panel, rocker treatments and front splitter, and ZL1 rear spoiler for the coupe version. The car will be available both in coupe and convertible versions, in 2LT V6 or 2SS V8 trims.
The SS models will be powered by 6.2 liter V8 engines, which in turn will be available in two performance styles: L99 with automatic transmission and LS3 with manual transmission. The first will boast 400 hp and 556 Nm of torque, while the second one will sport 426 HP and 569 Nm of torque. The LT models will feature 323-hp LFX 3.6-liter V6 direct injected engines with dual-overhead camshafts and variable valve timing.
Transmission will also differ from one version to another. The LT will receive either manual or automatic gearbox, according to the client’s preference, while the SS will feature a 6-speedmanual transmission. Both versions will have dual-mode exhaust systems.
For the interior, Camaro chose black leather upholstering with black and red stitching. The sill plates and floor mats feature the Camaro logo with red edging, while the instrument panel and door inserts are black with flame decals – the iconic Hot Wheels symbol.
