New 4K Camcorder from Canon: XC10 is a Beast
It has arrived people! Introducing the new Canon XC10, a 4k camcorder that has full cinema-grade Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x2160 (aka 4k). Able to save this high quality video onto regular CFast or SD memory cards is a good plus, along with countless other features; everything from a 1″ 12 megapixel sensor, to a 10x optical zoom lends with built-in image stabilization.
Just imagine filming a crazy action sequence, or a zen meditation exercise, all in 4k quality. I’m not sure if everyone that reads these posts have had the pleasure of seeing a 4k picture on a 4k screen. Remember, even if you have a 4k picture, if you aren’t looking at it on a 4k screen on some kind, be that a computer screen or even a television, you won’t get the same quality. 4k is much like the new VR devices that have been coming out recently, like the Oculus Rift; it’s really something you have to see in order to believe.
As far as cameras and camcorders go, this thing is a thing of beauty, producing quality video content that can only be found on high end cameras still. Thankfully, Canon is allowing this power to be in the palm of the amateur photographer or videographer’s hands today!
Make sure to check out this camera on the internet, go ahead and Google it.
If you’re looking for more information, head over to DPReview’s website, they have lots of quality information on the XC10 for those of us who are so inclined.
For a measly $2,500, you can become a true photographer, gracing the world with pictures in a resolution most people can’t even benefit from currently. You’ll be ahead of the game, that’s for sure.
