McLaren Group’s 50th Anniversary
Bruce McLaren Motor Racing Ltd. came a long way from being a small company with just a handful of loyal employees. Founded in London by Bruce McLaren when he was only 26 years old, the company will soon celebrate 50 years (in September) of existence and many accomplishments. With more than 2.000 people working for McLaren Group today, the corporation has made a name of itself by creating and racing some of the most amazing supercars in the world.
Even though Bruce is no longer with us due to his tragic car accident in 1970, it seems like his hopes and aspirations regarding the company have not been forgotten, as the McLaren group kept blossoming even after his death.
Some of the accomplishments the company boasts include winning the Indy 500 in 1970, 1974 and 1976, having a Formula One team that won 182 races and led 10,000 racing laps, creating the world’s fastest naturally aspirated car in the world and many more.
