Limited Edition Admiral’s Cup Legend 42 Watch by Corum
First unveiled in 1960 and then reiterated in 1983 with a more appealing design, the Admiral’s Cup timepiece by Corum has been enjoying a lot of success for decades. Now the luxury watchmaker has launched a new limited edition version of the watch, based on the beautiful 1980s design: with a 12-sided case, 12 nautical pennants from the maritime international code of signals for hour markers, and a very modern metallic blue color.
The new edition is called the Admiral’s Cup Legend 42, and it is available in two versions: with steel or rose gold trims. The steel version will be limited to 300 pieces, while the more precious rose gold model will be produced in only 100 examples.
The blue part of the case and bracelet received a special PVD treatment, just like the lugs, dial, and crown guard. The visual contrast is gorgeous. Powering the watch is a an automatic mechanical movement with oscillating weight, bearing the Corum label. You can admire it working through the transparent caseback.
