Lavish Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art Collection
Luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin recently unveiled its exquisite Métiers d’Art Collection, which brings ode to a Dutch artist named Cornelis Escher and to the graphic art of tessellation. The new collection includes three stunning timepieces boasting unique and mesmerizing motifs on their dials, while their cases and movements coincide.
As we have come to expect from a brand such as Vacheron Constantin, these exquisite timepieces were made using high-end engraving, enameling and gem setting techniques complemented by precious materials such as mother-of-pearl and gold. For a touch of utmost elegance and fine taste, these watches feature simple, sleek white gold cases and slim bezels as well as hollowed hands. Inside, an in-house Calibre 2460 mechanical self-winding movement ensures power, longevity and reliability.
The three models were named Angel, Lizard and Horsemen, each flaunting its own unique and original motif emblazoned with skill and care on its dial. The Angel watch signifies the balance of good and evil in the universe, which is portrayed through a repeating image of angles and demons – one in silvery white and the other in dark blue. The Lizard watch features white, brown and red gem sets that were arranged accordingly in order to form images of lizards in a spectacular display of opulence. The Horsemen watch is equally impressive, as it displays Ottoman horsemen in great detail using a gold and mother-of-pearl marquetry pattern.
