Incredible Mount Cangyan in Hebei Province, China
As far as Asian tourist destinations are concerned, China is perhaps one of the most visited countries, since its rich historical heritage, natural wonders and man-made masterpieces shape into mesmerizing attractions that have the potential to dazzle one’s senses.
As one of China’s most beautiful and imposing mountains, Mount Cangyan is a highly important tourist destination that can be found in the southeastern part of the Jingxing District, about 43 miles away from Shijiazhuang. A great part of the mountain’s huge success among tourists is owed to its breathtakingly beautiful natural wonders and stunning views. The highest peak at Mount Cangyan boasts a total altitude of over 3,280 feet, while the surrounding forests include gorgeous Blue Sandalwood and cypress trees.
Natural wonders aside, this incredible site also flaunts a vast building complex called the Fortune Celebration Temple, which dates back all the way to the Sui Dynasty (581 – 618 AD).The complex includes a series of very important buildings wich are integrated seamlessly within the mountain’s topography. Some of the most visited are the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Tablets House, the Buddhist Canon Depository and the Hall of the Giant Buddha, but the most important by far is the Bridge Tower Hall, which is supported by a beautiful stone arch bridge. Measuring 49 feet, this bridge sits proudly at an altitude of 172 feet, right above a stone staircase that leads to the mountain’s summit.
