Mercedes had a surprise in store for van camping enthusiasts that decided to attend the recent Dusseldorf Caravan Salon. The offering consisted of a Sprinter model that received a series of aesthetic modifications, the most dramatic being the stripping of its side part completely, starting from the passenger door and going all the way to the rear axle. The crisp, white interior is inviting and very neatly organized, boasting a bench seat that transforms into a spacious double bed. There is also a fully equipped kitchen area that offers important amenities and facilities, while the front driver and passenger seats can be used as dining or living seating arrangements.

For this exquisite conversion, Mercedes used only high-quality materials throughout, including Alcantara and white leather, while the furnishings received an amazing white-gloss finish for a touch of elegance. The bathroom/wardrobe area can be found in the tailgate.

The 2014 Sprinter is better than ever! Its power comes from a 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the van comes equipped with an endless array of assists that enable it to deliver a completely improved driving experience, including Collision Prevention, Blind Spot Assist, Crosswind Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Highbeam Assist.Sprinter cut-away 2

The Viano Marco Polo represents a special project that came into existence thanks to a company named Westfalia Van Conversion. The van features a pop-up roof that dramatically improves headroom, as well as a kitchenette with a water system, sink, stove, cupboards and refrigerator. The Marco Polo was also equipped with two special seats that can be adjusted electronically according to the user’s preferences, allowing him or her to enjoy long trips in utter comfort.

Mercedes showcased the Viano Marco Polo in two distinct versions, the first flaunting a flint grey metallic paintjob as well as a 2.2-liter diesel four-cylinder engine that is able to dish out 163 horsepower. The second version is much more powerful, boasting a 3.0-liter V6 CDI with 224 horsepower, while its exterior was enveloped in a shade of mountain crystal white. However, the first model comes with 4Matic all-wheel drive, which makes it perfect to drive in rough road conditions, while the V6 sends its power to the rear wheels exclusively.

They do have some things in common these two, including 17-inch light-alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlamps, air conditioning systems, automatic transmissions and high-end navigation systems. The prices, however are a little different, since the 2.2-liter version costs approximately $82,000, while the V6 will set you back $95,000.Viano Marco Polo
