Impressive AK120 MQS Player by iRiver
This spectacular device was made by iRiver, a South Korean consumer electronics company well known for its portable media devices, especially digital audio players. Called the Astell&Kern AK120, this gadget was created to please the needs of those that pay great attention to the music they listen to and its subtleties.
It was unveiled during the High End 2013 event that took place in Munich, Germany, and it was widely acclaimed, especially since it boasts iRiver’s Mastering Quality Sound technology. Tech-wise, the device features a 2.4-inch IPS touchscreen, dual Wolfson WM8740 DAC chips and 64 GB of internal memory upgradable to 192 GB through two microSD card slots and two digital to analog converters. It is also compatible with almost all audio formats, including OGG, WMA, MP3, ACC, FLAC and even DSD in the near future. For a touch of finesse, the AK120 comes with a hand-made leather case, which was crafted using high-end Italian leather. No details have surfaced yet regarding availability, but we can tell you that the price is $1,300.
