The Historic Schloss Drachenburg Castle in Germany
Truly a fairy-tale-like castle, the Schloss Drachenburg private villa is fascinating. It was built in the 19th century, in only two years, between 1882 and 1884. It was Baron Stephan von Sarter’s plan to move and live here, but he never got to do that. You can find it in a town on the Rhine called Königswinter, near Bonn, Germany.
Private and public guided tours will reveal many interesting things about the castle’s past. You can visit its historical noble rooms and parts of the private floor, as well as permanent exhibitions within the palace. A Museum of the History of Nature Conservation in Germany is also there for the curious.
After you get your fill of historical facts, you can spend a little quality time with your friends in the castle bistro, where you can have various snacks, ice-cream, cakes and hot or cold drinks. Before you leave you should also make a stop at the Castle Shop for a few lovely souvenirs, home décor pieces and books.
