Halong Bay Vietnam Miracle

One of the natural wonders of the world and the most beautiful and popular tourist area of Vietnam, the “Halong Bay” or “Emerald Bay”. It is located in northern Vietnam, near the border with China, about 170 km from the capital Hanoi, with 120 km coastline. In Vietnamese, “Ha Long Bay” means “Bay of Descending Dragon”, the legend saying that the dragons descended from heaven to help locals spitting out jewels and jade into the sea, forming a natural fortress against invaders. Hạ Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, located in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam. Administratively, the bay belongs to Hạ Long City, Cẩm Phả town, and part of Van Don district. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes. Hạ Long Bay is a center of a larger zone which includes Bái Tử Long bay to the northeast, and Cát Bà islands to the southwest . These larger zones share similar geological, geographical, geomorphological, climate, and cultural characters. Gulf banks are full of elegant hotels and villas, restaurants and terraces where shellfish are among the tastiest in the world. They are adding hundreds of shops and souvenir stalls.
