BMW ActiveHybrid 5 Series Concept

BMW has presented today the latest concept or BMW 5-Series ActiveHybrid. The concept is a combination of BMW six-cylinder engine and electric motor to follow a series of technological developments started by BMW ActiveHybrid BMW X6 ActiveHybrid 7, which are already broadcasting in production technology.

Drivetrain currently BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid concept model consists of a six-cylinder gasoline engine and Turbo TwinPower technology, reports an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electric motor.Internal combustion engine is powered by an electric motor developed specifically for BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid concept, and located between the engine and conventional automatic transmission. Is feeding power from high voltage battery installed behind the car, the electric motor develops maximum output of 40 kW.
