Bellami HD-1 Digital Super 8 Camera by Chinon
If you want to go back to the good old days when cameras had different designs and a different feel, then you’ll be glad to know that a company called Chinon wants help you in your nostalgic endeavor. The Chinon Bellami HD-1 Digital Super 8 Camera features a compact classic design that is reminiscent of the 70s, but what makes it truly special is that it can actually shoot HD videos.
Blending a timeless design with modern performance capabilities, Chinon managed to create a perfect little gadget that manages to meet contemporary filming requirements effortlessly, at least at an amateurish level. Even though it can shoot in 1080p, this camera is limited to just 30 frames per second, which might not be a very impressive feat for perfectionists. However, the gadget does make up for this drawback by filming in raw DNG format, which ensures improved exposure control and easier editing.
With a price tag of $850, the Chinon Bellami HD-1 will be launched this year, admittedly in Japan only, but the manufacturer might consider launching it in other parts of the world as well.
