The Beautiful Curaçao Island in the Caribbean
An excellent destination for seekers of crystal clear blue waters, pristine sand beaches, palm beaches and excellent weather, Curaçao Island could be all you need this summer. You can find it off the coast of Venezuela, in what is known as the Dutch Caribbean. It is part of the small and beautiful Country of Curaçao, which also includes another tinier and uninhabited island, called simply Little Curaçao.
Part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, this country is worth visiting for all the right reasons. It attracts hundreds of thousands of cruise passengers, and over 1.7 million airplane tourists every year. The island is sought by scuba divers, snorkeling enthusiasts and pretty much everybody else, because it is really hard to resist the charms of Curaçao.
Being situated outside the “hurricane zone” of the Caribbean, the islands enjoy excellent weather all year long, with frequent refreshing breezes taming the day’s heat. There are many things to do, see and experience on the island: floating markets, national parks, a Sea Aquarium, coral and limestone caves, and many, many beaches. Quite interestingly, the buildings look like those you would find in The Netherlands, not like what you would expect from a Caribbean destination. And that’s just another thing that we love about Curaçao Island.
