Audemars Piguet Grande Complication Royal Oak Offshore Titane
Unveiled before its official debut at Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2013, this here is the new Grande Complication Royal Oak Offshore Titane watch by Audemars Piguet. The luxury timepiece was conceived as a special means to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the famous Royal Oak Offshore collection which debuted back in 1993.
Limited to only 3 pieces, the watch is the first grand complication hosted in a sturdy 44-mm titanium case. It feature an exposed minute repeater, a perpetual calendar, and a split-seconds chronograph. Powered by a caliber 2885 self-winding movement, it is water resistant as well, a pretty uncommon feature for minute repeaters.
Both the dial and the caseback are sapphire crystals, thus allowing the onlookers to admire the intricate mechanism inside from different angles. All three units will only be manufactured on order, in a process that will take about a month, or 700 hours, for each piece.
