This colorful, delicious punch should definitely find its way on your Christmas table this year. When making this, you should keep in mind that all ingredients need to be as fresh as possible, especially the ones for the juices. You will need different ingredients for the citrus sugar and for the punch. The Citrus sugar requires half a cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon zest,1 teaspoon of lime zest, 1 teaspoon of grapefruit zest, 1 teaspoon of orange zest, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger and half a teaspoon of cinnamon. On the other hand, the punch requires ¾ of a cup of citrus sugar, 1 cup of lime juice, 1 cup of lemon juice, 2 cups of orange juice, 1 cup of grapefruit juice, 1 cup of mango nectar, 1 cup of pineapple juice, 3 ¾ cups of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, 2 ¼ cups of Grand Mariner, half a cup of Amaretto, 3 cups of sparkling water as well as orange, lime, lemon, frozen cranberries and grapefruit slices for garnish. You should also make an ice ring by placing different fruits in a container along with water and letting it all freeze overnight.
You can start making the citrus sugar by blending the cinnamon, zests, ginger and sugar. You can rub the zests with your hands in order to release the oils and let the whole mix set at room temperature for about 4 hours or even a day in an airtight container. Now you can peel the skins of the fruit and make the juice before placing it in a proper container and depositing it in the refrigerator.
Make the punch by pouring the sugar to the bottom of the punch bowl and by mixing it all with the juice before pouring the alcohol. Make sure that the sugar has melted before adding alcohol! Now you can take the ice ring and remove any excess ice before adding it in the mix. You can garnish the punch even further with fruit slices and frozen cranberries if you wish.

- Stock your bar with necessary supplies such as bourbon, vodka, gin and rum ahead of time, but don’t forget to also buy enough mixers such as orange juice, tomato juice, milk, cream and cola.
- Keep paper towels and trash cans close when you are mixing drinks, and make sure to keep the bar area away from the kitchen. You can also use coolers instead of piling your drinks up in the refrigerator.
- Separate the non-alcoholic drinks from the alcoholic ones in order to keep things neat and organized. Don’t forget to get extra cups and mugs as well as several spoons for stirring.
- If you can afford it, you can hire a bartender and ask him for advice regarding the types and amounts of alcohol that you should be buying. You can also call the liqueur store and place an order ahead of time.
- Apart from the complex mixes, make sure to have a few simple versions available as well. Some examples include peppermint schnapps, amaretto, Irish cream and some Christmas eggnog.
